DCM CHARITY PARTNERS

Disability Claim Management is pleased to support and offer our clients the chance to donate to UK charities. Please see below for our partners comments.

DCM remains committed to UK charities and £10 from every claim is donated.  DCM partners with many charities, below you can find all those currently on our partnership list:

Extant
John Hartson Foundation
Depaul UK

The Middlesex Association for the Blind
Guide Dogs Association for the Blind
Hearing Dogs for the Deaf
Disablement Association Hillingdon

Many clients with DCM fail to nominate a charity when they make a claim and leave this up to DCM staff.  When this happens we collect the non-nominated donations for our featured charity.

This year DCM is pleased to announce that The Middlesex Association for the Blind is our featured charity of 2009.

David Pearce, for the Middlesex Association for the Blind stated "Our charity,(MAB), has been working since 1922 to alleviate loneliness and isolation often associated with visual impairment. We run an extensive Volunteer Home Visiting programme through all 9 London Middlesex Boroughs along with other hands on services such as IT training for the Visually Impaired and Hospital Information points with several other services, see our website.

By operating in this front line way we visit hundreds of clients in their own homes every week and witness the wonderful benefits our volunteers bring to each person to match their particular needs. Funding is always difficult especially in these times and we thank DCM for this opportunity to raise much needed funds to continue the excellent work carried out by the Middlesex Association for the Blind".

Comments from our Charity partners:

John Hartson Foundation - 2010 PARTNERSHIP
Steve Hooper of the John Hartson Foundation commented "The Foundation are thrilled to be come a member of the DCM partnership list.  As a charity we welcome every piece of support in creating awareness regarding the importance of males checking themselves on a regular basis as early detection of testicular cancer can result in a cure rate of over 90%.  John himself ignored a small lump on his testicle for 4 years allowing the cancer to spread to his lungs and to his brian, this so nearly cost John his life.  With our hard work in creating awareness maybe we can be the difference between life and death".

EXTANT - 2010 PARTNERSHIP
Extant is the UK's only professional performing Arts company, that promotes visual impairment through the arts and is managed by visually impaired artists.  We raise the confidence and self esteem of young visually impaired people through our youth theatre programme, increase the profile and professionalism of visually impaired artists, and creat employment opportunities for visually impaired preformers through our national and international touring productions.  Extant very much appreciates the generous opportunity given by DCM to contribute to our company's work.

Depaul UK - 2010 PARTNERSHIP

Tim Harford of Depaul UK commented, "Depaul UK is the largest charity for young homeless in the U.K. We have helped over 45,000 people since we were founded in 1989 and we continue to work with over 3,500 young people a year.  We are very grateful to DCM clients for their support of our work".
